What's the best food I can give my frontosa that would really bring out his color. Is live food better or pellets?

Pellets are more consistent and formulated to have just what is needed. Live feed can even pass on parasites so its always reccomended to feed pellets if possible. I use NLS for my fronts and they look great

At my job we have a frontosa that wont eat flakes or pellets. He only eats misis or brine frozen or live. I agree with above statment, pellets/flakes are best but frozen (imo) is a bit more apealing for most fish

Agreeing with the previous post. I have fronts and all I feed them is NLS, Hakri cichlid gold and spurlina flakes. Every ones in awhile I like to give the frozen blood works or brine/mysis shrimp. I read they need a higher protein intake than other cichlids. With this diet I have yet to loose one and thy never seem to be "bloated".

Oh and as for live feeders NEVER EVER DO IT. Not worth loosing a fish!!
