Live plants with my convicts

I recently read that Amazonian Swords and Java Fern are tough enough to have in my Convict tank. Is this true? I'd really like to have some live plants in my tank...

It's really going to depend on the fish. Your chances of successfully keeping plants with convicts is, IMO, much better than if you were keeping africans. It's easy enough to try. Java fern, anubias, amazon sword... they're all cheap enough that worst case scenario would be a ~$5 snack for them.
