I have about 60 lbs of live rock and a couple pieces seem to be losing its coraline algea. This started happening about 3 weeks ago when i bought some emerald crabs. Could these guys be eating the coraline algea. I bought the emerald crabs to fight off another menace of bubble algea. Thankfully the bubble algea doent seem to be spreading but it is not diminishing either. Any help on either of these topics would be great.
BTW - Nitrates and Nitrites very low if at all existant, Amonia is zero. I had a phosphate problem but took care of that this week with a product called phosbuster. Worked great removed the phosphates and nearly eliminated the hair algea in the tank in one week! Dont know calcium content - dont have test kit!
