live sand and live rock

Can I use live sand and rock for fw aquarium

I'm pretty sure they sell freshwater "live" sand that has beneficial bacteria already in it. The live rock however once added to freshwater all the bacteria that makes it live rock will die off and eventually be replaced by the beneficial bacteria needed for freshwater use.

So it will work as a biological filter even if its in fw now will it look as good.as.they do in sweet aquarium

Probably not only because any of the color that's on the live rock comes from the algae that's growing on it once that does on freshwater you'll probably be left with a drab whit rock
