Live sand

Should I wash my live sand before I put it in my tank or put it straight in

Put it straight in one cup at a time with the pumps all off. Go slow and pour it in at the bottom to keep the cloudiness down to a minimum.

I was going to do the sand before the water

^^ thats what I did. I put the sand it first and then the water and then love rock. Just make sure, if you do water before rock, Dont add too much water at first because the rock will take up space

That's what I did. I put live sand down first ( did not wash) then water, but do not fill it all the way up, because and then I added my live rock.

After you add the sand, place a styrofoam plate on the sand and pump the water on top of the plate. The plate will float as the water level rises and will cut down on the cloudyness.

That's fine as long as you're adding premixed saltwater in the tank on top of the live sand.
