In the first three photos you can see my new addition I picked up... 16 hours of driving round trip. The measurements are 72x18x21 but this thing is built like a tank. Two men struggle moving the tank. Also there is a picture of my DIY stand made out of 2x6's, screws, and skinned with oak sheets that are 1x8s. Also there are old lights that the guy used. There are two full spectrums that equal about 50w together, and two actinics that equal 32 watts together. I'm going to move my 220w vho setup from my 55 to this new tank after it is ready.

I still have to clean out the tank, and stain the canopy and stand. I was thinking about an oak finish to go around the front and sides of the canopy and stand to cover the tank border... or should I just try to match the color with stain ?

Could I use just water to clean this tank effectively?!? Its really heavy. 300+ lbs I bet.

Will it be okay to add the dead coral remains to my tank? Should I soak the rock for a few weeks in saltwater in dark? Do I add a piece of my liverock to that tote? Should I do waterchanges on that tote?

Anyway thanks for the input.

....

1 - Pic of a odysea - cpr like overflow - rated for 600 gph. I'm using a mag7 full force with it. I also have a luft pump to remove air in the suction and keep the overflow working.

2 - Picture of my general sump setup.

3 - My chocochip starfish confined to the sump... punishment for eating half my mushrooms.

Even after I pulled him away he was going for the shrooms constantly. Must be good.

Cool pic of your star fish...

Even after I pulled him away he was going for the shrooms constantly. Must be good.

lol, maybe your star fish is onto somethin, why don't you give the shrooms a taste test? =P

BTW, how long has this tank been setup? Can't wait till you get your lighting so you can get some more corals in there. =)

Tank has been up since February 27th. I transplanted everything but my new rock from my 55 gallon up at top of this post.
