looking for a good cheap schooling fish

in goin to my lfs today and want a school to add to my 15g any suggestions

Tetra are nice schooling fish have a look at them. Maybe some Cory catfish for the bottom would look nice. Have a look at them

i only have ten dollars im thinkin about 3 or 4 neon tetras there about a buck fifty each

I like black skirt tetra. They can survive just about everything you can through at them, and make great additions to a tank.

If you're looking cheap, Red eyed tetras are always nice =) or if you can find scissor-tails.

Tiger barbs are cheap and they school. White clouds are cheap and can survive cooler waters. Really there are a plethora of cheap tetras and most are schooling.

zebra danios are usually really cheap, cheaper than neons, and they are much hardier.

Tiger barbs are very aggressive as well. Zebra danios are cheap. But they're very... Energetic.

Yes tiger barbs will probably need that 15 to be dedicated to them and maybe some cores but they are cheap and they school. Almost always active too. Or at least mine were. Depends on if you wanted a schooling nice fish or a schooling angry fish.
