Im looking for a smaller pleco/catfish/shark that will work with a 29 gallon tank.. something that likes to be in light.. i have a catfish now but it hides all day even under the blue light.. probably something around 4in size and darker in color. any suggestions?

What type of catfish do you have now? No sharks will work in a 29, most need a 55 minimum. You might be able to squeeze a Bristlenose Pleco in there...but I think Corydoras would be your best bet...very active and playful fish in an appropriate sized school of at least 5. If it's a Cory you have now, the fact he's alone may be the reason he doesn't come out. Corys love to be in large groups, and will be stressed and much, much less active if alone.

You could put in some panda cories, or juili cories, or pygmy cories!
