I was upgrading another filter on a tank that is cycling at the moment, and I dropped maybe 20-30 pieces of activated carbon into the tank by accident, it has mixed with my black gravel. It's very hard to differentiate between the gravel and carbon, if I leave it as is, will it be harmful down the road?

I doubt it will hurt anything. You should be able to vacuum it out as it should be lighter than gravel.

Thx guys, I figured it probably wouldn't. I did read how it will release what ever it has captured in there possibly causing issues. But thinking was it was not enough to cause long term harm. Just wanted to be sure with your opinions.

Yeah it's a totally different situation if you leave the same carbon in your filter for too long.
