One of my female swordtails had fry today and died a little while ago. I had been gone the last three days. A friend came in to feed the fish and my cat.
Everything looked ok. Except she had what appeared to be poo hanging down. I noticed to that she appeared to be thinner. Then in a matter of an hour she went down hill acting weird rushing around the aquarium and then died. There are about eight fry. I will admit that I am not going to put them in a brooder tank.
So far the other fish are leaving them alone. There are hiding places.
