I just made a quick purchase of a Tetra 20-40 gallon filter because my other filter killed over suddenly. I needed a backup asap so I purchased what I though was a decent filter spur of the moment. I plugged it is and it makes a vibrating/rumbling sound. I know the filter is working properly and it seems to be doing a very good job at clearing the tank but the sound is making me go crazy! I am assuming it is just a loud motor but could there be loose parts inside causing this? Any tips or advice to hush this filter noise? If not I may need to return it....if it comes to that any advice on what I should get? I need a 20-30 gallon filter that makes less noise (because it is in my bedroom) what would you recommend?
Thanks!
