low light ground cover?

ummm about a month in a bucket, then about a month or so out of water, then the dishwasher, then a bucket for a week, then my tank since its been set up. i just figured that since it was gnawing on the wood, it may release more tannins?

i doubt it. i think that when its done leaching tannins it's pretty much done. i had mine in a bucket for a month before i put it in my tank and then it took about 2 more months for the tannins to relax a bit. i still have a little bit of a tinge to my tank. it gets better every week.
