I just started a 20 gal mini reef with 20 lbs of what was advertised to be cured LR. Day 2 of the new tank shows my ammonia to be 0, my nitrite to be .25 and my nitrate to be 80.
Can this be right? how did my nitrate get to 80 ppm in 2 days?
PS I can already see brown algae bloom below the cc line.
