Lump on Betta, Help!
Hi,
I am new to the fish keeping world and I was just looking for a bit of advice.
I have had my 22gal tank for about 3 months now and around 2 weeks after getting my betta I noticed a small white spot on his tail fin. A few days later I noticed another small white spot on the other side of his tail fin. I thought it may have been ich so treated for that.
Fast forward a few weeks later and it is clear it is not ich, as the lumps have started to get bigger, there are no other spots on him and my other fish in the tank have no white spots either.
Currently my water parameters are fine everything is at 0 and PH is 7.5 according to my master test kit. Now I did have a snail die a week ago which caused a massive spike in ammonia. I did all the steps to get my water back to normal and luckily only lost one shrimp and one cardinal tetra.
However the betta had these lumps way before the snail died and apart from that hiccup my water parameters have always been where they should be.
Any advice would be great as I love my little guy, he is so full of personality gets all excited everytime I go up to the tank! He is still acting full of energy, swimming around and eating fine.
