my fuge is lit opposite my display as well. ive been growing chaeto for many months with no problems.

Reverse lighting...? As in, when your main tank is on during the day, the sump/fuge with the Chaeto is off. Then at night, when the main tank lighting is off, the light over the Chaeto turns on..? Did I get that right?

steppa- That is correct. This will also aid in stabalizing pH swings that are commen during lights out.
