Like the jar idea Rivercats. I use a spoon to guide the wafer/snail pile into a small net but that sounds easier .

Okay. The guy at PetCo was very amusing to me. He just couldn't figure out why in the world I wanted the snails.

Did he give you the snails for free? And did you ask him?

Yes, he did. (Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten them probably.)

UPDATE: Today I looked into the one gallon to find a new addition! I have a bare-bottomed tank with a sponge filter; is it possible that there are more hiding in the sponge filter?

Yes most of them will be in the sponge filter since my snail was in them and kept breeding inside. Once I check my sponge filter I saw thousand of baby.

Oh, wow. Okay. Haha. How should I check the filter for the babies?
