Male Betta and balloon mollies?

I let my girlfriend setup a 26 gallon tank in my room thats "hers" and she chose blue and white decor. Anyway she decided she only wants blue and white fish in it as well. We got the white down by getting some white balloon belly mollies which she has always loved. But the only blue fish I could find was a powder blue gourami, which is a beautiful fish by the way. I know there are some beautiful blue male bettas out there but I know they are kinda hit and miss with tank mates so do you think they would get along with the mollies? And if there are any issues with gourami and betta I can move the gourami to another tank.

Gourami and betta could very well have issues. Betta and mollies should be just fine. A blue opaline will do just fine in a 26 gallon tank.
