Hello, I have 4 of these honey gourami. Meant to get 3 females and one male... Always thought I had 4 females as there has never been any mating behavior or bubble nests. Now that I have decided to add a couple more, I thought I'd ask.ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1416167182.929012.jpg. I can try again for better pic. Generally, females are a bit larger and plumper, honey's may have a brown horizontal stripe, with a short rounded dorsal fin.
Males have a longer pointed dorsal fin, are smaller, slimmer, typically much more vibrant in color.

Possibly you have a sunset gourami which is a variation of the honey, they are much more vibrant and often sold as honeys.

The following site has some good info on them.

Honey Gourami, Trichogaster chuna, Honey Dwarf Gourami (Colisa chuna/sota)
