male pearl zebra changing color?

I have a male pearl zebra almost 3 inches he was in a 55 with other mbuna { my list is in my profile} after spawning twice he has got really aggressive and I moved him to a 20 long by himself. Ok my question is why is he not eating and he is a dark color now almost blueish grey. what is wrong I have check water and everything is normal as in low or not at all. he even trys to bite me when I put my hand in the tank

he could just be stressed going from 55 to a 20g. im not sure..

So how long would it take for him to get used to the smaller tank he had been there over a week

Pearl zebra yes. I'm not sure if it's common. I will defer to someone more knowledgeable than myself.
