I have had my mandarin since about the 1st of the year. The hardest part for me so far was the QT period. Since they only eat pods and most QT's don't have any, I watched my mandarin start to waste away after almost 3 weeks. I went ahead and added him to the display and all has been fine since.

I have also added a fuge to help with the pod population. The guy at the LFS said all they needed was a lot of LR. I found out differently after I got home. I research things a little better now.

BTW, I have a 75 gal with 115 lbs of rock.

I have a question about the fuge. A large pod population can be sustained in a fuge, but how do those pods get from there, to the display tank. are you phsically moving them there, or does the system take care of that for you.

i am sure lots get from the sump to the tank via the pump i keep rocks in the sump i can throw in the tank every now and then also.
