Mbuna Spawning

Typically, at what size do mbuna start spawning? I'm just starting out with several varieties at around 1.5". Thanks.

Generally around 3-4" but I did see a yellow lab this morning that was about 2" holding...there couldn't have been more than 10 eggs in her mouth and were most likely un fertile. But she did lay and hold them
