Mini-bow 5 lighting

I've got a 15 watt cfl daylight bulb in this tank, and the whole wpg and loss due to spiral shape just confuses the everliving daylights out of me. Anyone have a clue to how good a lighting level this is? I was considering eventually trying out a carpet plant in the tank (after changing to a good substrate)

Small aquariums like that one need more light to reach the various lighting levels. I have 26 watts over a 5.5 gallon and would say that it's medium light at best. So with only 15 watts, you're probably looking at low light.
