missing tail

Hi all,got home today after a night away and found one of my zebra danios missing its tail.It still appears healthy and is eating fine.It lives in a 150 litre community tank with 5 other zebras ,6 black skirt tetras and 5 very small rosy barbs.They are in the routine of being fed once a day and have never shown any aggressive behavior towards each other before..help

Hi caleb,ammonia is 0,ph 6.8,nitrates 5.0 and ive never tested nitrites.I do a 20% wc once a week

Alrighty, I'd suggest trying to get nitrite tested, just for your peace of mind.

I would QT and and keep the water as clean as possible. Keep a close eye for any signs of disease such as fungus. Fungus is known to appear on open wounds.
