Mollie Fry Colour

One of my 2nd generation black Mollies dropped 6 Fry about 4 days ago. I suspect the 'Father' of them is the Mum's brother born at the same time.

All the fry seem to be a brown colour rather than jet black and I was wondering if this could be down to the genetics?

i really dont know but i now have close to 100 of those same things but i think they came from my dalmation molly? i just figured that she got pregnant at the fish farm bcuz ive never seen a molly like this at my petstore, idk maybe we have some weird crossbreds, some of mine r reaching and inch and the look really coool, mine got a little lighter as they get bigger?????

Give the fry some time. It takes a little while for them to color up.
