Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew about Mollies eating riccia? Should I be worried? I catch my fish nippig at the plant but then after some research the internet has said they wont nip to the point of killing off the plant. Is this true? I have 2 adult mollies and about 15 babies. Im looking to donate them back to the fish store but i dont want to rid of them completely since they do munch on some algae.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Oh also, right now i have an inverted guppy breeder over the riccia to protect it.

any info would be great, thanks!

Yes it is true, they are actually seeking the algae off the plant and do nip the plant some, but not enough to kill it off. They will be fine.

hmmm should i risk taking the protective cover off then?? i mean they literally rip at it and pieces float to the surface...

also they seem to like the taste of hairnets! thats what is holding the riccia down to the rock. ill just keep it protected until i can rid of the mollies :p

anyone in Bay Area want about 15-20 baby & adult mollies?
