Does Mopani driftwood always leave a tea color in the water or does it eventually stop leaching out over time?an if I'm using carbon filters am I safe from tannins?

what is the best type of driftwood in your opinion? African? Malaysian? I am trying to decide whether I want real wood or a fake piece of wood. but I am not real big on fake stuff.

go with what catches your eye im using a bunch of grape vine cause it has a cool pattern that weaves in knots so im able to put my plants on it and fish have more hiding spots

I prefer mopani. I have a peice of mopani that's been in a tank since 1995 and it's still in great condition. The malaysian drift wood seems to fall apart over time, although it seems to have fewer tannins.
