Hello forum! I've seen different suggestions for fish lists, they sound very good, but of course I have my own tastes. The 4 chromis I started in my tank have gone to fish heaven, so I guess I get to start over.
I have a fully-cycled 75g FOWLR tank (80# LR), 55# Florida Crushed Coral (aragonite) with wet/dry filter. How does this sound?
1 Sailfin Tang
1 Neon Goby
1 Royal Gramma
1 Coral Beauty -OR- 1 Flame Angel
2 Butterflies from the Chaetodon genus (I like the C. lunula, C. auriga or C. collare)
Does this sound like a reasonable setup for my first SW tank? I have an affinity for fish with elaborate fins. I would attempt a Copperbanded butterfly (LFS has a gorgeous one), but sounds like difficult to raise. With the exception of the goby and gramma, the bigger fish should all be about the same size, I don't want too much size domination, fin-nipping or fighting (thus no damsels). Should I include a couple more smaller fish to balance it out?
Oh, I already have 4 tiny hermit crabs in the tank too, for a cleanup crew. I plan on adding more crabs...do I need to add more reinforcement to the cleanup crew, like a starfish, perhaps?
Thanks for any recommendations.
