more stock for ram/dwarf gourami tank

Hey i have a 29 gallon standard with 400 gph with only my ram and dwarf gourami so far. This is a old tiger barb tank but all died when i moved (was 9 or 10 in there) so im good on b b. To go with these i just want a schooling fish like cardinals or long tailed tetras ( had 7 with a gourami b4 and still were trying to nip) so my questions how many schooling fish can i add with my current stock?
