$350.00 on a KOI. I lost my mind

Koi are pretty though. That is a good excuse if somebody doesn't want you to buy an expensive fish lol. Just say "but it is pretty".

The most expensive fish I ever saw was the albino yellow tang ( the one with white blobs) for 2500

someone offered like $400000 for the platinum arrowana(pretty sure its in china),there offer was declined. the most expensive fish i have seen was a $300 bamboo shark at a crummy LFS. my LFS has a pair of yellow seahorses for $300,and a mimic octopus for $150
the mimic octopus was a ctually $350

Most expensive fish is my African knife around $30 now

Hey guys

I've been in search for this red congo puffer for a while now. Its a rare color and the supplier has one on hold for me if I really want one. The problem is that it cost $100. This fish would need a whole 30 gallon tank by itself and it will hide in the sand 80-90% of the time. I already bought a light orange congo for $30. In your honest opinions, is this red congo worth $100 to you if you really like these types of fish?

Its so easy to judge others, but very difficult to judge yourself sometimes.

Depends... think of 2 or 3 other fish that would make you just as happy? IMO, you only live once and you can't take the money with you...

For me, price doesn't really matter. I paid $70 for a clownfish. If you really honestly like it and you have enough money, by all means go for it.

Obviously, it is up to you, but personally I wouldn't spend that much money on a fish that hides all the time. But, thats just me. If you have the money and really like the fish, go for it!

I think the fish is interesting and rare. And the rareness adds extra appeal to it.
Why not.
