Mount for pendant light

Hello all, i am in the process of buying someones reef tank and have a question. He has a Halide pendant lamp on it. The lamp is nice but the way he has it mounted isnt. He made a 2x12 hood and has the light mounted in there. It doesnt look too appealing. Does someone sell a hook or some kind of mount so i can loose the hood and mount this light nicely. I really dont want to mount the light on the ceiling either if i can help it.
