Does anyone think I should add some javamoss to my 10 gallon?

I hate java moss it gets everywere looks horrible aswell go for some riccia or Christmas moss they look much better imo

Do they require alot of light or will the coralife 20 watt bulbs be enough

Maybe you can add some ferns or other slow growing low light plant. They go good with anubias.

Is that algae growing on the glass of the tank?

Yes stupid algae loo the 5 gallon is too small for ferns and the 10 gallon I added some now just got to wait for them to grow in

I just spent some time scrubbing the algae in my 5 gallon tanks... My wrist hurts... Lol.

Don't know much about moss. But you could do some crypts, dwarf sagittaria, wisteria, rotala....

Get a algae eater. Nice tanks

Yes I'll grab some I'm thinking about getting led lighting but it's 300 :/

An algae eater really isn't a solution to algae, and the only thing that really eats green spot algae are some species of plecos, there is no pleco that should go in a 5 gallon.
I was just noticing the pictures in this thread there is a lot of algae in the tank and commenting that I have to spend time scrubbing green spot algae. Excel helps cut down on it though, but its still there.

Re designed the tank an cleaned 95% of tha algae what do you think ? And what should I add and where?

Thanks :) just got some Bolbitis heudeloti for my ten gallon will post pics once it's planted

For an algae eater, would an Otocinclus (oto cat) or 2 (or 3) work? They only grow to 2 inches and are skinny.

I wouldn't put ottos in anything smaller than a 10, they like schools and are pretty active at times. However, I have a school in my 29 gallon and I put one of them in one of my 5 gallon betta tanks to eat some diatoms and I can't get the little guy out! It's a heavily planted tank and he is just too quick . He's been in there about 6 months and I feed him crumbles of algae wafers a few times a week, but otos only eat soft algae, they won't eat that green stuff, its too tough.
