Got some more wood in the mail today from Rod (D.S. Drifter) here on the boards. Ended up using one 35" piece in my tank. After the tall stump on the left side got layed down the tank had a small balance issue in my mind. I was always drawn to the right side with the 2 exposed pieces of wood. I knew I didn't want a huge piece but something that looked like a young tree that got flooded and died off. Rod had just the piece for me! With a small cut to make it fit properly and a couple of zip ties to hold it to the fallen log I got my balance back. It does look a bit out of place right now but I think once the Cryptocoryne and Lagenandra species behind it fill it what will smooth the transition. Also once the Java Fern Trident and Java Moss fill around where the 2 pieces meet will help as well. Looks like the big stump toppled in and the small tree got pulled over partially because of it. Here are a few almost decent pictures of the new piece of wood:

How does it look to you guys? I think I will really need to let it grow in behind it for everyone to get the feel of what I picture in my head.

The new DW looks good there.

Any chance for some images of the fish enjoying their great environment?

I'm working on the fish pictures but everytime the camera or video camera comes out they go hide. I may try adding a group of Veitnamese White Clouds to the tank as dither fish to see if that helps calm them down. I have the Chocolates in there for one more week then they go to a species tank and I am hoping the Bettas come out more once the Chcolates are gone.

Really bad fish pictures as they like to hide in the spots I can get to with a camera. The big one in one of hte pictures is a holding male, another week and a half he should release if he hold to term!

Parva grows so slowly...I just can't stand it. But you have an awesome tank. Can't wait until the final lay out and your crypts are grown out all the way.

Kinda fell off the posting side as I ahve been busy applying and interviewing again. Accepted a job just hope they get all my Drug and Background screenign back in time for the training to start on the 28th.

Lots to update on so I will jsut toss out a small list:

Betta Albimarginatas are in a holding tank to be sold
Added a school of Burmese Gold Ring Danios
Added 4m 6f Pearl Gourami
Added 15 Y. Sidthimunkis (Dwarf Chain Loaches) - These will be here tomorrow am
Added more crypts to the submerged section
Working with a new design of CO2 reactor that allows better disolution and flow then the standard inline PVC reactor
Added 6 Coralife Moon White LED moon lights 3 base units and 3 linking units. 12 bulbs total.
Shortened from 11 hours to 7 hours of daylight
Added Wild Type Neocaridina to the tank
Added a couple of Cal Aqua Oracle Drop Checkers
Thinned out my Parva to cover even more of the tank.

I will update in a few days, Saturday should be busy as I have opened up my place to the local club members that want to come see my tank in person along with my culture room for live foods and plants

you've done a great job on the tank. would have taken you a long time to set that up :)

Thanks, this tank was in planning for around 6-7 months before the tank was even purchased. It has now jsut been evolving to where it is today. Not much more evolution left mostly just needs to grow out now.

very nice, i love the new setup, just wondering, how do you fix the bottom of the tank!!! do you have to climb in there?

Stand on a step stool and use tweezers, its not that bad actually as the tnak is only 18" front to back.
