This is my 55 gallon tank. I have a penguin 150 and wet dry filter on it. All fish are thriving and swim freely and happy (except one green barb, the smallest).
My stock list goes as:
3 green barbs
3 tiger barbs
3 clown loaches
1 yoyo loach
1 pictus catfish
1 banded leoprinus
1 German blue ram
1 rainbow shark
1 pleco (need help I'd when I get good picture)
1 hillstream loach (may have been jipped, could be a rubbernose pleco)

BTW it is also planted with driftwood also. No fake plants/decorations.

Thanks for sharing your pics.

I'm concerned with some of the species you have in there.

Clown loaches will require a much larger tank. They can get to be 12 inches.

Yoyo loaches belong in groups of at least 3, 5 is better.

Pictus belong in groups of 4-6.

The leoprinus can also reach 12 inches.

I don't recommend sharks for anything less than 75, having had one and seen how, as they mature, their aggression level increases.

You might want to get rid of the species that will get too large and up the school numbers on the species that need it. (y)

Yes I do admit to buying some of the fish prior to the knowledge I now have (catfish, leoprinus). And will definitely re-home them as they mature the catfish and leoprinus will be first due to their rapid growth. I have the ability to add some more fish so It might be some yoyos. :)

Thank you for your input.

I really like the look of your tank.

Good move to rehome those that are inappropriate. A good fishkeeper will always put the fish before him/herself. (y)

Thank you! Do you happen to have a suggestion for an "oddball / different" fish? Maybe an eel? I like catchy fish

I think a recommendation for another species can only really be made after you end up rehoming and upping your schools. Then, we can see what you have left for room and check compatibility.
