It was the most amazing thing, watching two of my barbs "dance" and 3 eggs fell out of her (that i saw). I've read that the eggs will attach to the plants, but they were laid in open water and fell into the gravel. Is that ok?

Barbs are egg scatterers so their eggs will go where ever they land. The chance of survival though without being removed, being in a seperate tank in the beginning, is slim. Especially with other fish in the tank.

If you want to start breeding them move the pair into a different tank until they do lay eggs again then remove them.
