Day 15 of the 15g and NO2 is 0.25ppm, 80ppm NO3 and 0.0ppm NH3!

As for the 29g it is chugging along on day 12 with 1.0ppm NH3, 0.50ppm NO2 and 40ppm NO3.

Hopefully when I wake up tomorrow I will be fish shopping!

awesome, what kind of fish are you thinking about ?

Well, this is my wifes tank, meaning that she picks them out and I do all the rest lol. We picked up a few guppies the other day (she doesnt know that I will be feeding the fry to my soon to come cichlid tank lol). A dwarf gourami as the centerpiece and a few amano shrimp and 2 mystery snails.

If you don't mind me asking, what test kit do you use? I've been using some from a company called Waterlife however they are quite broad range? Your results seem quite specific so I was wondering if you use a different make?

On another note, I too am coming to the end of the cycle .... feels great! Though I had done it before .. hadn't and now that it actually is coming to an end feel very relieved!

I use API liquid test, its the only test I trust. The master test kit is verry good IMO. The PH test from 6.0-8.8 with an indicator every 0.2. Ammonia is 0/0.25/0.50/1.0/2.0/4.0/8.0. NO2 is 0/0.25/0.50/1.0/2.0/5.0. NO3 is 0/5.0/10/20/40/80/160.

Gratz on your cycle! It is very exciting to FINALLY cycle a tank, especially if you are doing a fishless with no seed material.

I would like to say I done it fishless but I initially followed the pet store advice. I've learnt the hard way now but seeing as I had one fish that survived I've stuck with it and managed to get it to cycle with a fish naturally. Not easy, but certainly possible.
