My diy corner tank

This is my 46 gallon corner tank I built. I am going to build a stand for it sometime next week. And the other pic is of a 26 gallon tank and stand that I built about a month ago. I have built 6 tanks in the last month out of scrap glass I have reclaimed from my job as a construction worker.

Nice corner tank I want to build my own one day. If I used acrylic, is there a type of acrylic that I have to buy.

I used glass out of patio doors. From what I have read about acrylic you acrylite. My next build will be a six foot tank using 3/8 glass.

I hope I can use acrylic. Mainly because if it cracks it won't shatter the way glass does. It will just be one crack.

I have built another tank this one is an 86 gallon. I still have some braces to put across the top but its coming together nicely.

Is the corner tank held together by just silicone?

Yes. I am using GE type I silicone to build my tanks. So far great results. I have build 8 so far and I am going to build a bigger tank later in the year. About 180 gallon.

Thanks bub. I am very excited with my new hobby. I am just learning this part of my hobby. Only been building tanks for about a month.
