My Hongi Cichlid fry tank

This is my Hongi Cichlid Fry Tank has 10 1-2cm fry male/female their all just starting to get tgeir full colours theirs also 2 bristlenose's and an striped loach eel. Also has giant water sprite in the top seems to frive under the hood must be the heat

so iv been slowly adding plants because every 1 thinks cichlids will eat them all to my suprise they dont even nibble on the hope yous like the updated photo please give ur opionion this tank os about to become fully planted for shrimp just waitin for the hongi fry to size up mr frog has been released to my **** on the farm

It's not that they eat the plants but more often dig them up when building their nests. Great looking tank though

cheers il b addin some more dwarf grass today and some floor cover plants and probaly some nice sword as well il update as i set it up an i have made sure iv left plenty of space ab hiddy holes for them so hopefully they wont have a need to

got some more grass today a java fern some tall grass the guy recomended to me got a whole bunch of info and some freebees to help with my cichlid tank build

fry have officaly been relocated new tank mate JAWS this guy has drawn blood from me one or twice never attacks small fish only ones bigger than him(bottom pics their new home for a month or soo)
