How long has you tank been going? Fish or fishless? If fishless, source of ammonia?

Going on 10 weeks and I have fish and live plants

Your probably cycled and your plants/algae is consuming the nitrates. Monitor levels, all ammo and nitrite always 0 and under 20 for nitrate.
