My New 240L & Residents

From what I understand they grow very slowly. Several years to reach 12" or so. ( I don't have experience keeping them that long, I ended up giving mine to someone. Just something I've read/heard.)

Good. It'll give me time to persuade my girl that I need another tank I think 12 inches is at the top of the scale. Average seems to be 6-8 inches, from what I can see. Great fish. Did yours get too big for your tank at the time?

cliffs: Got married/moved/started new job all around the same time. Mine were about 5" when I gave them to someone.

Lovely looking tank & nice natural wood cabinet. The hex tanks make a great focal point in the room. What part of the house are you positioning it?

Living room. I think I'll be getting a 75g+ soon that will be the focal point of a sitting area off of the living room too.

Some new planting added tonight. I've also another piece of bogwood soaking in the bath to add more of a central focal point.

Clown loaches are very cool fish. I have five and they used to school with a tiger barb. The barb even did the rise and dive thing with them.

The tank and stand is a Fluval Roma 240. I have a Roma 200. Great tanks and the stands are nice, but expensive.

A few updated pics as I've not posted for a while. New planting is growing well & all livestock & water parameters are looking good.
