Just moved into my new house and purchased my first fish tank for 8 years. It has been running for 2 weeks and currently has a sand base with pebbles/stones, a large rock with holes, and two smashed plant pots covered with Homebase BBQ lava rock.

Juwel Vision 260ltr containing:

6 Penguin Tetra
1 Dalmation Molly
1 Orange Molly
3 Pearl Gourami

My plans for the next few weeks are more plants and more fish!

wow!
that's pretty - can't wait to see the finished design.

The fish will be so happy there.

Cheers for the feedback!
Im going to leave the tank for another week or so and then buy some more tall plants for the back, some java moss to hopefully cover some of the lava rock and some smaller plants for the front. I then hope to buy some more fish, i currently thinking about a pair of Kribs/Rams for the caves, some Corries for the bottom and some Neon/Cardinals.

*Update*

Got home tonight to find one of my Pearl Gourami's missing. Three of us have search the entire tank and surroundings but still cannot locate the fish or its body :(.

Good news though, while looking for the fish i discovered 2 Black/White Molly babies swimming amongst the sand and rocks. Not sure what to do with them at the moment, but i will see how things progress.

Some new pictures after a bit of a clean.

Current fish:
6 Penguin Tetra
1 Dalmation Molly
1 Orange Molly
3 Baby Dalmation Mollies
2 Pearl Gourami
6 Neon Tetra
2 Sterbas Corydoras
1 Albino Corydoras
2 Kribensis

Looking really good. I would consider either painting the back black or getting a black background. It would really make the tank contents pop.

Cheers guys for the advice. Ive put up a temporary black background using bin liners (it looks alot better than you think).

8 Rummy Nose Tetra
1 Twig catfish
1 Botcha Catfish (Cant remeber exactly)
