Add root tabs for your Swords.
You may need a higher wattage bulb. Like 30-40w
Around 6500K

Your light is screw in ? Or long tube fluorescent ?
I use compact fluorescents. 2 for my 10g.

Add liquid ferts like Flourish Comprehensive weekly after your PWC.

What kind of Gourami ?

Pics of your tank and the light ??

I agree w/ Coursair's suggestion to add more light. A really cheap and easy (quick too) solution: buy a couple of CFL daylight bulbs (home depot has 2 19w/1100 lumen/5000k bulbs selling for $4.97), if you buy a socket splitter, you can use both bulbs in one lamp. It may not be ideal for the longterm (or the general aesthetics of your set-up), but it may save your plants. A pendant lamp (another $5-7 bucks) with a wide reflector will allow you to direct the light down into your tank. Good luck!
