Mystery eggs...

Came home to find these eggs in the aquarium. Only egg layers that are mature are the three black neons. Angels are not mature enough (nor have they exhibited any "suspicious" behavior.

I suspect the culprits are my population of pond/blister snails. I also now have a pair of nerite snails. I believe mystery snails (apple snails) deposit their eggs above the water line.

And yes, you see a "healthy" amount of BBA which is actually starting to clear.

Probably is snails. Neons are scatterers and the angels would be guarding them.
