My tank has been a little overcrowded. Nine swordtail, 1 bristlenose pleco,1 catfish,1 stow away guppy , and a sail fin Molly. They’ve all bee n healthy until a heatwave a few weeks ago. I noticed that some developed mouth rot and because of overcrowding I euthanized.
That reduced my numbers to ten and then my Molly developed fungus. This I treated, I’ve had him for over a year.
Today I put a filter back in and cleaned the tank and was getting ready to do a fifty percent water change and noticed one of my female Swordtails had died.
She appeared totally healthy and my parameters are good.
Shock from treating fungus?
I also plan on trading swordtails for guppies with my sister.
That should reduce my over crowding .
