After cycling my 10 gallon tank, I got two gold-and-black platies last weekend. They seem to be doing well, and the tank's water readings still look good (no ammonia or nitrites, nitrates at 20). My question is what I should do next. I read the ratio for platies should be 1 male to 2 female, though I was wondering if it would be OK if I stick with 1 male to 1 female. I would like to add three neon and three cardinal tetras (one group this weekend, the second group two weeks from now). Second, the AqAdvisor calculator says that puts me at 100% capacity, but I should add another 10 gallon filter. That seems like _a lot_ of filter capacity for a 10 gallon tank (it's essentially filtering for a 20 gallon tank), so I just wanted to see what people thought about that advice. Thanks in advance!
