I'm looking for a nice small piece of driftwood to put in my 3 gallon cube, but not sure where to find a decent, inexpensive piece.

Also, I know a spot where there's tons of it on a beach near me, but I read not to do that. Help?

If you have access to a beach with driftwood and know the water is not polluted than take advantage of it. You can boil it and change the water several times to clean it. Then soak it in clean water for a week or so, changing it daily and it should be fine. Lots of people do that. I have used found wood. just make sure it is not rotted or coated with any contaminates. I bought a bunch of grapewood off of Bloomsandbranches.com recently. I am planning on listing what I do not use for sale soon. Have to make up my mind what I want to keep and talk myself out of buying more tanks to use it in. LOL
