I found several snails near the very mouth of the Mississippi River that I want to put in my natural Louisiana tank. I can't seem to Identify them positively. They seem to gather around macrophytes. Specifically Myriophyllum spicatum (Eurasian watermilfoil). Any help?

Looks like a pond snail to me, but here's a website showing different kinds of snails. Google local snails for your area and you might see it.

Could be wrong but it looks more like an olive nerite snail to me but then again, in the wild I believe nerites are only found in brackish/marine waters
