Need help...white stuff in tank

hey all I need some help, I have some white stuff in my heater and heater cord and have no idea what it is or if its bad....My ammo is 0 nitrates and nitrites are close.... ON top the heater it looks like abunch of finger nail clippings and no I don't put them in my tank! If anybody has any idea what it it then thanks!

Hi! I am trying to get an idea of what I am looking at on my cell. Are these worms or algae? They appear like they may be a segmented worm such as a detritus worm but some more info will help!

...I washed it off and now its back there...Iv watched it and the things don't move at all....They get moved by the curents
