Need help with filtration

I just bought a 125 gal reef ready tank It has plastic covers in the corners with 2 holes drilled in each corner came with piping I plan on using this tank for fresh water fish but I need help with knowing what kind of filter I need for it please help

Backpack filters work good, but if you really want to get fancy you could use a wet/dry with Matrix by Seachem instead of bioballs.

These are pics of the corner pipes and tank so you can see what I'm talking about I filled the tank up in the garage to make sure it held water witch it does not sure if I should plug the pipes and run a canister filter

Tank was fitted for wet-dry filter; may be possible to run canister but they come with flex tubing sure you'd need an adapter. Fluval hose may work; match ID of hoses.
