Need Help With Platy and Molly Please Help

Okay so I have been raising fish with my ma of all kinds all my life but for this round I have a male platy and two female Mollies. The dalmatian one is overly bearing eggs (either that or is about to die from some disease or a bloated swim bladder) and is trying to mate with my platy. His "extra fin" as I call it has been out ever since she's been in the tank. I think my male is too immature to know what to do, but this is what baffles me. Every few seconds a trail of white stuff leaves him. Never seen that before, what is it and why is he doing that? I want fish babies....... why must he be so stupid :c

Ummm..... someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think platys and mollies cross breed. They are from completely different families of fish.

I don't know it's going to be a different baby from a live bearer it's a risk
