Hey guys Ben again,

Somehow I got a snail and now I got a bunch of snails, I few of them were alright and took good care of my algae problem, but now I think they might be getting out of control.

How do I control these guys without just picking them out myself or adding salt?

They are in a 5 gallon tank.

do you happen to know what kind of snails? i had an invasion of Mylasion trumpet snails in my last fresh tank.. i was fortunate enough to have this happen in a large tank and my loaches took care of them.

you could try the lettuce trick, clip a piece of lettuce and go to bed, in the morning they will be dining on the lettuce and you can scoop them out.

Best option in a tank that small might be the lettuce trick or an assassin snail or two.

Well I did some research and I found out some stuff about the assassin snails, they sound like a good idea the only problem is I don't know where to get any.

ebay usually has beautiful ones.
their name is "Anentome helena"
google that name and some very interesting things pop up!
